Petals & Pours: Exploring the Garden-Inspired Menu by Shawna Pierce

Whether you are hosting a garden party or a sleek corporate mixer, there is no better way to celebrate warmer days than with a perfectly balanced cocktail in hand. At The Mobile Mixologist, we believe that a signature drink is more than just a refreshment—it’s an anchor for the entire guest experience.

Recently, we brought our upscale bar experience to Neon Work Space, a vibrant shared workspace in San Francisco’s Cow Hollow. Transforming a professional environment into a high-end social lounge, proving that even a small gathering can have the gravity and style of a premiere event.

The Inspiration Behind the Menu: The Art of Drink Design

This bespoke menu was designed by our Craft Supervisor, Shawna Pierce. A licensed and highly credentialed professional bartender, Shawna is a certified expert in Canadian & scotch whisky, setting the rigorous standards for how our drinks look, taste, and feel.

Below, Shawna shares the creative philosophy behind the Petals & Pours collection:

"Spring always feels like an invitation to lighten up, to get outside, and to let beauty take center stage. When I began creating this cocktail menu, I wanted it to feel like stepping into a garden at golden hour: vibrant, fresh, and full of life.

The inspiration came from the natural rhythm of the season. Spring fruits like ripe berries, hydrating veggies, and bright citrus all bring a kind of effortless balance and acidity that cocktails crave. I leaned into those flavors as the foundation, building drinks that feel refreshing but still layered and intentional. Each ingredient was chosen not just for taste, but for how it contributes to the overall experience.

Color played a huge role in the creative process. I wanted every cocktail to feel visually alive. Soft pinks, golden yellows, vibrant greens, and deep berry tones. These aren’t just drinks; they’re little pieces of art. The goal was to create something that catches your eye before it even reaches your lips.

And then there are the garnishes. The finishing touch that ties everything together. Fresh herbs, edible flowers, citrus twists, and an array of textures were all chosen to enhance both presentation and aroma. Garnishes shouldn’t just sit on a drink; they should invite you in, hinting at what’s to come.

This menu is really about celebrating the sensory side of cocktails. The way they look, smell, and feel just as much as how they taste. It’s about slowing down, appreciating the details, and embracing the brightness that spring brings with it. Cheers friends!"

The Spirit of the Land: Barr Hill Gin

Our inspiration for the evening centered around our incredible alcohol partner, Barr Hill Gin. What makes Barr Hill truly special is their commitment to the land and their lead ingredient: raw wildflower honey.

Unlike most gins that rely on a long list of botanicals, Barr Hill is distilled with just two—juniper and honey. The honey is added after distillation, preserving the delicate floral notes and creamy texture that inspired us to design a menu that felt both grounded in tradition and entirely fresh for the season.
